My car got repoed due to a past due balance of 896.40. Today I payed 400 towards my bill, also I received my car insurance check to fix damages on the vehical is there a way I would be able to use the check to pay the remaining balance. To recover my vehicle. Will the bank cash the check with my name on it without the Lein holder name on it. Also what does it mean a hold on the car insurance check and will not deposit in my account.

You are not clear but I'm guessing the insurance company put the lien holders name on the check? If so, they will need to sign the check and won't do so until you can show the vehicle was repaired. So they won't allow it to be applied toward what you owe. If you cash the check by forging their name then you are just opening yourself up for a felony charge.
