Totaled Highly Moded Jeep

My 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was totaled. The other driver has accepted full liability.

I had an additional $4,000 of coverage to pay for the roughly $10k in aftermarket parts.

I need some help deciding what to do next and keep getting different answers.

Should the other insurance company pay all of the additions to my Jeep if I provide receipts?

If not, can I take off the mods and replace with OEM items?

Should I buy the totaled Jeep and take off the add ons and then sell the Jeep as salvage?

I', just at a loss for a wreck that wasn't my fault and feel that I will walk away with much less of a Jeep at the end of this.

The other company owes you the market value of the Jeep with all the parts. This means you will get far less then the retail value of those parts. You can take them off but should then get a reduction in the market value. You can have the other carrier deduct the salvage value of the Jeep and keep it if you want. You will take a hit but this is because those installed parts are worth more to you then the amount they add to the value of the Jeep.
