New topic on life insurance

by joven222 » Tue Jan 16, 2007 06:05 pm

Hello everyone,

I noticed that there are no new topics so i decided to make one for discussion purposes. lol

What is the best type of life insurance should a woman, 40 years old, having 2 children, with a huge house and has plenty of money should have. Does she needs a life insurance or maybe not? And btw, the house's title is on her name and not yet transferred to the name of the children.

Thanks... Good Day!!

OK wait a minute...you are supposed to put them in a list 1 to 5...listing all of them...First you are supposed to do it as an isnruance agent...and then you are suppsosed to do it thinking like an everyday person.... meaning #1 would be the person that needs it the most #2 the second most. List them in order...

Hi nique1221,

I'm back, is been a while that i haven't post here. Thanks for this tricky exercise. :) Actually, what make this tricky for me is that im not familiar with this persons. I don't know about their backgrounds. All i know is Homer as the father of the Simpsons. I don't know Mike Brady of the Brady Bunch. I am not familiar with it. I have heard about the Sopranos and the Cosby Show but i have not seen them. I am not also familiar with Ray Monroe of Everyone Loves Raymond. I think i have heard that show also. :))

Sorry, but i reside in the Philippines and im not that familiar with these things. I think if you can give me a more general presentation, i can answer your excercise. This is quite interesting.

I hope you can bare with me. :))

Thanks!

Joven

Thats ok nique,

Take your time. Ill just wait until you have posted your new exercise. I know sometimes, an agent like you are very busy doing some presentation stuff. As i remembered my manager in life insurance selling. She started to work early in the morning and she would stop working late at night. As they have said, they most successful people are those who work while everyone is sleeping. Is that true?

See you next time. I'll just come back when im ready.

Yes this is true.../I do believe I do my best work late at night. I am usually vey busy! But that is a good thing. I would be very worried if I was not busy.

Ok here is the ecercise Ill change it a little bit and do it as follows.

Please rate the following 1 having the most need for life insurance and 5 having the least need for life insurance. I will then tell you what most of the public answered and then I will tell you what most insurnace professionals answered. This will show you the vast difference and why we have a hard time getting our point accross.

1. Homer Simpson (He is a blue collar worker, works in a factory, is married, owns a home, and has 3 kids and the mother does not workn He is prob in his late 30's early 40's, Live in an average home, average income, middle market/class).

2. Mike Brady Father of Brady Bunch (He is an architect, ownes his home is married, is the primary wage earner, and has 6 kids, he prob late 30's early 40's as well. Average home and Cars your regular guy higher income, middle to upper class.

3.Tony Soprano, Father on the Sopranos (He is a mob boss, makes good money, has a dangerous job, ownes a very nice home & nice cars, people are always looking for him, he is married and has two kids one in college the other in highschool, the mother is a house wife. He is in his 40's early 50's Very High income, upper market/class)

4. Ray Monroe Father of Everyone loves Raymond (He is a journalist, is married with 3 kids all young. He owns an average home, his parents live accross the street, very family oriented. Prob in their early to mid 40's. Average income, middle class/market.)

5. Mr. Huxtible of the Cosby Show (The later years). Both he and his wife work, they are both Doctors, they have 4 or 5 kids and some grandchildren. Most of thier kids are grown up. They make good money and live in a good home, upper class/market. In thier 50's Higher income than average. Nice home, regular cars.

Now put them in order of who you thinks has the most need for insurance and also please state if you have your insurance license or not so we can get an accurate survey here.. Hope you all Participate!

hi nique

hmm. this is a bit tricky question. I'll decide this based on my own opinion.

1. Mike Brady Father of Brady Bunch (He is an architect, ownes his home is married, is the primary wage earner, and has 6 kids, he prob late 30's early 40's as well. Average home and Cars your regular guy higher income, middle to upper class.

2. Homer Simpson (He is a blue collar worker, works in a factory, is married, owns a home, and has 3 kids and the mother does not workn He is prob in his late 30's early 40's, Live in an average home, average income, middle market/class).

3. Ray Monroe Father of Everyone loves Raymond (He is a journalist, is married with 3 kids all young. He owns an average home, his parents live accross the street, very family oriented. Prob in their early to mid 40's. Average income, middle class/market.)

5. Tony Soprano, Father on the Sopranos (He is a mob boss, makes good money, has a dangerous job, ownes a very nice home & nice cars, people are always looking for him, he is married and has two kids one in college the other in highschool, the mother is a house wife. He is in his 40's early 50's Very High income, upper market/class)

I'm not sure if this order is correct, but this is based on my own opinion. Btw, i'am a license life insurance agent. Not that very active now a days, but i have some experience for about a year ago.

But if i can learn from here and you as my mentor, maybe, i can come back in due time. I think there are many people out there who really needs life insurance coverages.

I'll just wait for your reply. Thanks a lot!
It's been an honor to be of contact with you.

Until then... Thanks
Good day!

Joven...I am not going to say anything yet. I am hoping that some other people will post their opinons...so lets leave this up here for a while and in a couple of weeks check back and see what others have said and then I will put down an explination. Does this sound ok to you? This will further prove my point if we can get alot of people to answer...I hope more people do. I want people to just answer what they think and sayd if you are an agent or not. I hope we can get a mix of people here to answer this, it could be really fun if we do....

I hope that the ideas that we share can be of great help to all of us.

Thanks!

The Crosby show, the wife is a attorney and became a Partner in her Firm. If that makes a difference which I doubt if it does.
