Its surely a good question, and I'd love to know in that respect if its at all possible for me to thrive on SSDI while I'm getting worker's compensation which is not enough! Can anyone explain whats this "offset of disability" ?? BermudaTripartite

Hi guys!
You may rest assured that under both the said conditions you may have it!
And now about the "offset", its about your disability payments which affect your social security disability benefits. The payments towards workmen's compensation or any public disability payment may lessen your SS benefits.

hi all...jus wanna clarify that the combined benefit worth for your family (social security benefits+workmen's compensation+public disability payments) shouldn't exceed 80% of your present day average income. Hope it helps you!

Sasha.
