Yes, I could empathize with the situation that you're in….but what you've been through can only be described as being careless to some extent…even when you are residing at Delaware, which is one of those few states which needs its drivers to maintain the mi nimum personal injury protection. You should know how it safeguards your family in the event you expire. Not only the death benefits, it also helps them with the funeral expenses for that matter. If you're seriously injured then it would obviously support with paying for the expenses incurred through your injuries while driving. So, you shouldn't have been negligent in the first place! My friend, I feel I could provide you with the information that you're looking for. In Delaware, the state law necessitates you to maintain a min liability coverage of 15/30/10 which signifies that $15000 should be paid towards the injuries of the person that you've hit.
This amount increases to $30000 if the driver who got hit by you was not alone in the car ( that represents a sum of all his expenses incurred in associated with this mishap).
If during this mishap, you've somehow inflicted any other damages which fall within the purview of being termed as ‘associated damages' then its gonna incur an expense worth 10k. Hope that's understandable! Fatman

Hey, I believe you wanna know about the punishments…am I right!
Let me assure you that the punishment would inflict financial damages. You'd certainly be responsible for the combined expenses as mentioned above, so in case you don't have the policy in place you should be prepared to face the fines that come your way!
Remember, that your driving privileges may be snatched, in that case you might need to drive without even your license, and in case you get caught again, under those circumstances, larger surcharges might be charged upon you. Got it ??
Regards, Juanita.

If I had my way... yank you drivers license, take the tags from your vehicle, and make you pay a fine so that it _may_ finally sink into your head that driving is not a right. If you feel that your so much better then everyone else and should be allowed to drive without having any financial responsibility for others peoples well being, then you need to be knocked upside the head.
Have a nice day!
