Maybe you won't face much problem in getting an insurance policy at the age of 50. The only hitch is that the premium rate will be abnormal. :)

Hello,

I'm looking to find insurers who can help people over the age of 50+ for life insurance, house insurance etc..

Many thanks.

Obtaining life insurance for someone over 50 is not a problem at all. Now if they are over the age of 80, well that can be a problem, but still not impossible.

A person should not be rated up on their house insurance because of their age. As a matter of fact, their rates should go down a little. Let me know what state you are in and I will let you know if I can help you.

Hi insureme, nice to meet you. I'd like to make a suggestion if I may.

The AARP is a nonprofit organization which is specifically geared towards looking after the interests of anyone aged 50 and over in various areas of their life.

One topic that they do cover on their website is financial wellbeing and that includes insurance.

You may want to look at what they have to offer there by way of information. It''s broken down into a number of sections including an overview on insurance. The areas covered are :

# Automobile Insurance
# Homeowner's and Renter's Insurance
# Life Insurance
# Disability Insurance
# Long-term Care Insurance
# Health Insurance
# Special Policies

Each section lists useful information and mentions companies you could look into. Hope this link is helpful!

Great suggestion, lilacsigh, AARP is a wonderful program that has a very informative webpage, you can go there and read up on all the great programs that they have in place.

Christmas hint: This would be a really good stocking stuffer for a senior you know, print off the information and give it to them, I am sure they would appreciate it and knowledge is power. Can be a really good benefit.
