If your asking if the policy would provide coverage, no.

May be you'd find some benefits...in case your insurance falls on those categories where in the cancellation gets accepted only after a waiting period. But it seems difficult now. Still you need to check out with your insurer!

Yes, you'd definitely go through your papers well & see if that holds good :)

Wait a sec here, it depends, (this is likley state specific)....let's say the prem was due the day before ...here...policy was due jan.1st....you didn't pay it, had an accident jan2nd...many many times, if you pay it within the ten day period (even though there was an accident-and dependent upon the state law, and the insurance company could have an 'option' to refuse, you need to check all of this) you will have coverage...now, if by due day before you mean the 11th day after due...you're likely screwed....

from auto policy-MO

Premium payments/cancellation:
this policy may be cancelled by us at any time during the policy period for failure to pay prem.(blah blah how to pay)...by mailing written notice to you, but not less than 10 days therafter such cancellation shall be effective.

I have personally handled many many claims, that fell in this ten day period...only thing insured had to do was get that money in the hands of a company representative within this ten day period...again, this is likley a state thing...so check it out!

something else though, because it's hard to tell from your post...if YOU or the policy holder cancelled the policy the day before...NOT THE COMPANY FOR BEING LATE......totally different, and again you're likely screwed...but why would ANYONE cancel their own policy if they didn't already have another in place? that is why i went on the assumption it was a cancelled by the company for late payment...correct me please if wrong.
