He mick and Welcome to the best Insurance Forum Community on the web!
can i insure more than 1 car at a time
The short answer is "Yes".
Most auto insurance carriers will allow you to insure up to 5 personal vehicles on a personal auto insurance policy.
In fact, if you insure more than one, most companies will give you a "multi-car" discount on your insurance premium.

Yeah, Insurance Maze is right, most of the insurers allow you to add your vehicles under a single plan. It'll be cost saving for you as well, as you'll be entitled for the multiple car discounts. At times, premium for multiple cars may even cost lesser than the premium of the single vehicle. Hence, its wise to insure all the cars under the same policy. You must ask your agent about the discounts available.

Hi mick, as all have said it already, you can insurer all your cars under a single plan.
The premium rates of the auto plan get greatly affected by the make and model of the cars. Therefore, if you own an high performance vehicle and an old vehicle, the later one will definitely attract lower rates. Now, if you add both the cars under the same plan, the premium rate may get averaged out. By insuring more than one vehicle under a single plan you may even can save upto 25% on the premium paid. Hence, you can clearly see the advantages of insuring all your vehicles with the same insurer.
Thanks,
Sevan

Sure you can insure more than one vehicle at a time. In fact you will find that it doesn't cost a lot of money to add a vehicle to your policy from most insurance companies. Most auto insurance companies offer a multi car discount for policy holders. A multi car discount is a price break to an auto insurance policy holder who has more than one vehicle on their auto insurance policy.
