Hey, where can I purchase a travelers insurance policy? What's normally covered under the standard plan?

Thanks in advance.

You can ask your agent about travellers insurance, they can guide you accordingly. A standard travellers insurance will cover the following losses,

  • *Loss to your properties due to theft
*Financial loss due to cancellation of the flight/other mode of transport
*Medical and hospitalization expenses due to injury or diseases

However, the benefits may vary with the insurer. But its more important to know the perils not covered under your plan. Many insurer don't cover the losses arising out of terrorist attack or war. Hence, you may left uncovered if you suffer losses in such events.

Ask the agent to explain the coverage benefits in detail before you sign the policy document.

Try your credit card company, the travel agency or online travel website.
