Can any of you tell me

1. What the standard wedding insurance covers?

2. what is the standard premium payment procedure of wedding insurance?

I never heard of wedding insurance. I am already married but I will check back just out of curiosity. You should get an answer soon.

I'm not sure EXACTLY what they cover, hopefully an agent that sells this will drop in on this thread...I know they market it as insuring your day isn't ruined etc...wish I'd have had it on my wedding 30 years ago, my cake didnt' show up! Cater got the 'date' wrong, and actually called me the next day and ask me to pick it up! NOT.....(fyi, my dear husband surprised me with my first wedding cake on our 15th anniversary)

Wedding insurance is being offered by more and more big name insurance companies, like Travelers for example.

It would probably be best to go to travelers.com and look at their wedding insurance policy.

It can cover things like:
Lost wedding rings
A blizzard postponed your wedding
Your Mom and Dad got snowed in in New York and the wedding is postponed
The cake said "Happy 1st Birthday"

I would look at the web site.

Lori You must have a really awesome husband. I bet you cried when you seen that cake...I would have. My actual wedding went off fine but the next day when we went to clean up the hall before heading on a honeymoon was a different story. All my expensive center peices were stolen. They were there when we left and locked the hall but the next morning they were gone. Along with that all my food was gone too. We had planned on eating left overs and I was going to hand the center peices out to family members who helped clean. When I contacted the caterers whom admitted to helping theirselves to the leftover meats but didn't own up to anything else. They were the only other ones who would have had a key according to the hall manager. Didn't get any refunds but I made sure enough people knew that it affected there rentals of the hall for a long time after.

Like a baby (which is not typcial of me!)....it was a surprise and a wonderful one...we had another wedding cake when we 'remarried' and had a big party for our 25th, but the one I got on our 15th was the best.....(about 20 family and friends met at a nice resturant and he had the cake all set up there when we arrived)...

Lori You must have a really awesome husband

yes, I do I'm very blessed

.All my expensive center peices were stolen.

See this and the left overs 'might' be covered under the 'wedding policy'' more than likely the center pieces...I can't believe the cater's didn't knock something off of the bill since they admitted to taking YOUR food! That's just crazy!

Was it the halls fault or the hungry cater's?

The hall and the cater's both worked together. If you rented their hall they supplied the cater's at a discounted fee. We thought it was a bargain. The food wasn't as upsetting as the EXPENSIVE center pieces. I let the food issue go but kept pressing the fact about if they took the food more than likely they took the centerpieces. Plus added the fact about them having the key. This got me exactly no where at all. Didn't seem worth adding uglier memories to the day so my husband and I decided to just let it drop. No discount or anything. They suffered in the long run because there was so much talk after that they had trouble getting any bookings for quite a while. Not sure how they are doing now.
Your hubby sounds a lot like mine. After a rough life with first one I couldn't ask for more than I have now. Talk to you soon.

So you would not recommend this place to anyone right fireyone? That just stinks that they would do something like this to you on your special day.

Lori, not many like him left, you are very fortunate, nice thing is that you realize it, I am sure that you are the same to him right.

Another insurance that I have never heard of before, I guess if it can happen it is insurable, LOL. I have heard of more on here than I ever had in my life, like the birthday insurance, I never heard of it before coming here.
