Life, Health, Home, Auto, Disability...are the major types of insurance available to cover all the major aspects of your social life. But apart from that you also have certain smaller coverage which are aimed to protect your special areas of concern. They could often be referred to under one group called the 'Specialty group'. Over here, I have come across so many types of insurance, most of who were not familiar to me before.

Specifically...........what I'm looking for is Whole (?) Life for my son. Isn't it WHOLE Life insurance that can build a 'cash value'?

The entire list is right above you, it is unreal how many there are and the list continues to grow.

I don't even try to understand all these insurances. I get lost in it all.

Whole life and Universal life policies both build a cash value.
Many like whole life because it's a more gauranteed accumilation.
