I read one of your responses in a thread, you say insurance companies do not use the KBB in determining the ACV/W of a vehicle (total loss). My grandma's expedition has hail damage/no windows from a tornado. They estimated the damage to be 6000.00 worth of damage. Its a 2000 EXP-V8 Utility 4dr XLT 4WD MILES: 145187.70. I work for GM and have access to NADA, I am using the Used Car Guide. Which quote would be appropriate to give my grandma? The clean trade-in value? ($5500.00). You should be using the ''adjusted clean retail'' amount to determine grandmas ACV....I get 7650.00 with the information you supplied...then add or subtract the following to that figure....4.6lv8-minus 200, leather seats +300, power sunroof +350, snow plow +575, tow camper pakg +75, winch +125.00, then of course if there was any unrepaired prior damage a percentage of that unrepaired prior damage or poor condition would come off as well...you also didn't say it had the Eddie Bauer package if so let me know and I'll run it again...
