How can I get the state of Minnesota to change it's policy regarding the use of aftermarket body parts? I sell aftermarket body parts and it's pretty dang tough when this stupid state won't aloow insureres toi use them. Help!

Minn. would be a tough state to be an a/m parts salesmen. I have handled claims with MN owners and have had to research this. As I understand it every time the insured's/claimants have an accident you have to ask them (adjuster) can we use a/m parts? If they say no, well then that's pretty much the end of it...also a reason why their rates are higher.. :roll: seems to me that there are some exceptions, I'll check and post the same..
As to the question though, I'd either find a new way to make a living or move....
Here is what MN has said about a/m parts...
Any parts replaced on your damaged
vehicle must be original equipment (OEM) parts, unless you
agree to “after market parts” (those parts not made by your vehicle's
manufacturer). The OEM parts do not have to be new, however,
if your vehicle was not new at the time it was damaged.
They do however, allow betterment and depreciation..
