With the resent devastation caused by hurricane Ike, I am considering obtaining my TX Adjusters License. I know how to get licensed, but how should I proceed with getting work/ a job? Should I approach this venture as an independent contractor? Or try to get hired as an employee with an insurance company? Or should I at all become an insurance adjuster in TX ? Please help!!

RUN FOREST RUN. DEAR GOD MAKE ME A BIRD SO I CAN FLY FAR FAR AWAY... ok so I watched it to many times but if you have any other talents, pusue those 1st. Claims is great if you can handle it. I think just by you asking you have doubts. Check other options first then if claims is for you getting on board with a company is the best way to go at least until you get a few years under your belt. Working as an employee also in many cases protects you in the event that you are sued by some 9issed off policy holder or claimant. Your company will defend you if you did not do anything criminal or deliberate.
