Will your UIM bodily injury pay if you are injured in a cycle that is covered by a different company. the person that hit us was uninsured and we were in the hospital for a month. Our car insurance was the broker for our bike insurance. they themselves do not carry cycle insurance.

Well yeah, that's the only way that UIM (under insured motorist) coverage would ever pay...

the person that hit us was uninsured and we were in the hospital for a month

. Were they UNINSURED or UNDERINSURED? If UNinsured you likely have Uninsured motorist (UMBI) on your policy that is the coverage that will pay...

Our car insurance was the broker for our bike insurance. they themselves do not carry cycle insurance.

Well what company is the bike insured with?

(ps sorry you were hurt so badly, glad you are able to type now.)

We have UMBI though our car insurance. Our car insurance company does not cover cycles. They found us a ins company for us, then we purchase insurance from them, for our cycle only. We had Gap and uninsurance motorest on our bike so it was paid for.
We had to paid 150,000. for medical bills from what we recieved from our bike insurance. Can we collect UMBI from our car insurance?
