I am insured with State Farm and I dont live in the greates neighborhood. In the past I have had one accident that totaled my car and a car was stolen from in front of my house which I got a truck after that. Recently the truck was stolen and involved with a hit and run, it was a big mess with getting the police report etc. I was given a claim adjuster who has been giving me problems since day one. He was dealing with my husband in the begining and he told me flat out that he really didnt believe us and it didnt seem right about something happening to another vehicle. I understand how it might look to someone on the outside but I pay insurance and I still deserve some professionalism. In the past my truck has been repossed (financial problems) and I know the economy is down so to think that we are just trying to get a free ride would be questionable if I were in his shoes. Back to the point, therefore, the adjuster has not been getting back to me like he should, I have had to sworn affidavits, we finally got the theft and recovery report from the police and I have done eveything they asked. It has been over two months and we still have come to no resoultion. My truck is only work 8000 and the repairs are already at 6000 not including what could be wrong, the adjuster keeps asking me what should he do and I am not understanding why he is asking me this. Then he keeps making hints that he is going to talk to his fraud department. He told me that he wasnt going to pay for the tow but when I asked to speak to a supervisor he said he would pay for it. I think that he is playing games with me and is being this way because of his own personal feelings about the situation. I am sure that my insurance company will drop me after this claim do you have any insight or suggestions about my situation. :(

Nun - I'm sorry about this situation. It sounds like you've had some challenges with State Farm. I used to be a State Farm Agent and I admit there can be some issues with multiple claims in a short amount of time. If your accident was deemed at-fault then you could have 3 major claims in a very short amount of time.
If you feel you are being treated in an unprofessional manner, then speak to the adjuster's supervisor. For the most part, I've noticed a level of fairness within the company. However, there's always exceptions to the rule. You may have found one with your adjuster. At that point you can try to appeal your case to a more impartial jury.
Your agent may also be a helpful source. You can always try to get a hearing at his or her office and they could offer some suggestions. But keep this in mind: State Farm Agents are ding'd in their compensation for claims. The Agent may deem you an undesirable risk - in which case the adjuster is your better hope.
Hope some of this helps.

OP, I understand the adjuster seeing 'red flags' all over your claim, and in truth he should've already sent this claim to their SIU (special investigation unit) for handling, and I'm not sure why he hasn't...at any rate, call him again ask what is the decision on this claim, or when exactly will a decision be made...if he cannot give you the answer, ask to speak with the branch manager, in fact I wouldn't even talk to him again, I would call the office and ask to speak directly too the branch manager....You have a lot of things going against you in this claim, I know you know this...but his unprofessional speak and not returning calls is unacceptable...call the branch manager TODAY.
