I drive a 2005 Dodge Ram(mentioned in post where i was hit 2 times in 6 days) I tow a trailer for a friend who is a DJ on average 1-2 sometimes 3 times a week. he writes me checks for 10 bucks a trip. (not much, usually just covers gas cost) can i demand a towing enabled rental vehicle? enterprise & hertz do not allow towing with standard rentals. my options as i see it are either a commercial truck rental, available from enterprise(its a ford f-250) or a chevy tahoe(available for the same cost as a fullsize truck from enterprise) so i can transport the equipment in an enclosed environment.

From who? Why? You leave out a lot of (all) background.Did someone damage your truck and you are going to ask that person's carrier if they will pay for a rental with a trailer hitch?
Each area is different but I've never known ERAC to rent a vehicle to tow something. There are some rental companies that do this though. It's up to that person's carrier if they will pay for something like this under this situation. Most would only do it if otherwise it would cost more in a loss of revenue claim. In your case it would not.
