Everyone's situation is different. You need to weight the value of the vehicle less any deductible about with what premiums would cost. Usually with a 13 year old vehicle collision is not worth the cost. I'd give comprehensive coverage a little more thought but not much. Pretty much any damage is going to total out the vehicle.

Not if you own the vehicle outright. If you purchased it used from a used car dealership and are making payments you may. It all depends on the dealers requirements of the insurance they want you to have in order to keep the vehicle.

If you have no lein on the vehicle it's your choice wholey...On a good day your vehicle is worth about 2500.00 and that's if it's in great shape and average miles...then your deductible will be probably 500...so the most you'd get would be about 2k (again if it's in great shape and average miles)...so what is the premium for collision and comp? IMO if those coverages cost you even 50-75 a month, i'd let it go...but it's entirely up to you, can you afford to lose the car? of course if you have a lein you also have no choice and must carrier collision and comp

This is strictly up to you. If you own the car outright and don't care what really happens to the vehicle, then you will be ok with liability coverage. If you would have a hard time driving with damage that you caused or mother nature damage such as hail, wind, theft, fire and any other Acts of God, then you would be much better off with the coverage. I would get quotes on both, most drivers are surprised to see how little difference there actually is in price.
