Is it possible to cash out the check that the insurance company gave you and not fix the car..Is it up to you to have it fixed at the moment or maybe sometime in the future?? Because they gave me a check that expires tomorrow, and I still couldn't find some reliable auto body shop in my area. And don't want to rush it..
Thanks

If the check is only in your name, you can certainly cash it... and they is the only thing you can do with it anyway. If it includes someone else's name, they will probably only let you cash it once the work has been done.
There is no need to worry though. If the check expires you can simply return it to the insurance company and they will issue another one. They are required to do this.
