Was there insurance? As a 28 year old, your brother is an adult and in no way are your parents responsible for his actions. What happened with the accident?

the two men were out for a game of pool and on the way home speed got up and they lost control, no other car was involved To my family it didn,t matter who was driving even when we thought it was the other man at the end of the day they were two grown men who made their own decisions and no amount of compo would bring my brother back its a pity the other family didn,t think the same instead of opening a can of worms 6 years later thanks for your help

WOW!! I don't know what kind of 'coment' to say, with THIS post. Gosh..I'm really sorry about your loss. OP, you said "6 years later?" I'm just curious,...is someone in YOUR family, or the OTHER family trying to 'resolve' this accident, NOW? You are right about this......no amount of money will bring a family member back. Too many families thin some kind of 'comp' money would put some 'ease' on the situation. I'm very close to my family.....to me, they are 'priceless'.

If there was insurance then I highly doubt the insurance company would not look further into this inncident before paying any type of claim. If they do find your brother at fault then they will have to settle for whatever amount the policy held since your brother is no longer here.
I hope you and your family do not have to go through too much more stress and this all can be resolved quickly.

I agree with FIREYONE!! I know the family wants this nightmare to be overwith. However.....I'm sure you would like 'closure' as well. I know a similiar situation that was held up in court for a long period of time....I'm not sure why, however.
