i had a car go into the back of me yeserday he reversed into me ive got two witness here is hardly any damage so im not claiming there is a tiny bit of damage to the other car do i need to tell my insurance company ive only got is registration number as well as he was threatening me and poking me in my chest thought he was going to kill me

I question why you did not call the police if this was going on. Also, you are required to exchange license information and registration information when in an accident. It appears that this was not done.
Why was he threatening you? I'm guessing he felt you were at fault in the accident? If so, I'd report the information to your insurance company at this time.
