Colleague of mine was in a minor fender bender accident on a yielding turn that came into an intersection. This took place at night time in front of other people, not sure if anyone reported accident, both parties left scene and did not call police due to the fact that my colleague did not have insurance and my colleague said they will take care of their damages threw cash. Later on that night colleague got full coverage insurance and now wants to report accident but only that it took place on a different night. Colleague wants to take ownership for incident since they fell as though they were not yielding enough at turn with a green traffic light ahead of them. Can both parties run into problems if they file an accident for a different date then it actually happen?

(I think there is a post pertaining to this same incident). Yes....something CAN happen. Fines, etc. I tried to comment, on this issue, on the OTHER post.

Hi, I guess it's all about the importance of staying covered for that one fatal moment. One thing you'd need to under is that the carrier covers you for unforeseen risks. Why would anyone cover you for a risk that's already there?

"For that fatal moment.." Very true. But, i really don't see how they can say the accident happened a different day....morally and legally, I mean.
