Hi vickylyn,

Did this guy ever share such an idea with you?
Which state are you in?
If you're in no way related to this guy any more, then I don't see any "insurable interest" that this guy may have for you.

Also, if he's purchased any form of simplified or guaranteed issue coverage without your notice, then he has already committed an insurance fraud. In any case such a policy would be void. Pinkfloydfan

he told me I signed a insurance form after he had gotten me drunk. I don't normally drink, but did drink once with him. at the time I thought he was kidding, we had discussed a pre-nup regarding assets, and he had agreed to sign one, although we never got that far. Then recently, a mutual friend told me, he told a lot of people about a large policy he had taken out, right after I was diagnosed with cancer. we are no longer together, (we didn't live together). but I wanted to make sure he wouldnt benefit from my death.

Is it possible for your friend to know about the insurance carrier with whom he has this policy? May be if you'd convey the fact that you had cancer or that you were drunk while signing-up, it might help the carrier determine their risk and the fraud that he's committed. Please let us know if that's possible! Pinkfloydfan

No carrier would've written you a life policy AFTER you were diagnosed, so he had to lie, (commit material mis-rep) on the application. You need to find out the company and get ahold of them...ASAP

he's not going to tell me... my friend doesn't know and I have no idea where he has the mail going. hence my problem..

Have your friend do some snoping, and I'd (personally) start calling every insurance company I could think of...If someone has access to his check book or bank statements, I'd have a look at that as well, to see if and who he's making premium payments to

Vickylyn, you won't be able to find out unless he tells you. The insurance company won't divulge the information since you are not the owner.

Rest easy. He lied about the insurance policy. How do I know? The only way that he could get a large policy on you is by having you get a paramed exam. You didn't have one.
