my grandfather barely found out that his now deceased father ( around the 70's) left him as the beneficiaty on his life insurance. Will he still be able to claim that money?

Hi, see, in order to file a life insurance claim upon the death of a loved one, he'd just need to contact the carrier or the agent. If he could get in touch with the insurance agent, it might be of some help. Also, he'd need to inform them about the death of his grandfather and show them a copy of his death certificate.
Since he's late in filing the claim, I'd rather suggest he seeks the help of the agent or have an attorney guide him regarding this. Pinkfloydfan
