Hi i need help. I was in car accident in seattle 2 years before. Due to bad weather conditions i hit the front car. The front car couple were old and
hospetalized. Frankly i was below 20 MPH, visibility was poor, it was raining continuously and i applied breaks but car got skid and hit the front car.

It was almost 2 years before, now recently i got the letter stating that the front car driver want to sue me... this info i got this from my insurance company. I am not in USA after that accident as i am from asia, left 2 months after that accident after my work assignment was over. What should i do, Can the other driver really sue me because i am not in USA. If they sue me and if they win without my presence in the trail, what would happen? Can't I go back to usa for working again? Please please help please help.

I think they can sue you within the U.S. state wherein you'd stayed. At the same time, I guess it would be hard for them to prosecute accordingly. It also gives rise to a number of questions. Did the police report mention anything about the weather conditions? Have you been stated as the party at-fault?

What should i do,

Let your insurance carrier (at the time) handle it, they will provide a defense, and more than likely it will never see the inside of a court house...

Can the other driver really sue me because i am not in USA

Well sure they can..you were in the US when you hit them..

If they sue me and if they win without my presence in the trail, what would happen?

Your carrier will pay the judgement (again it will never see the court house most likely), up to your limit...

Can't I go back to usa for working again? Please please help please help.

Of course you can...this isn't a criminal case, it's civil...

I guess it would be hard for them to prosecute accordingly.

First off no one is prosecuting her, it's a civil case...and 'IF' and that's a giant 'IF' it did go to court, this still wouldn't be an issue, she will be rep'd by her carrier...

It also gives rise to a number of questions.

I don't think it does at all the OP provided quality information...

Did the police report mention anything about the weather conditions

Doesn't matter if there was three feet of ice, and no lights, if you can't control your vehicle and rearend another...(see the OP) you're at fault..

Have you been stated as the party at-fault?

Again, check the OP she states..

Due to bad weather conditions i hit the front car.

i applied breaks but car got skid and hit the front car.

Pretty much sums it up...she couldn't stop and rearended the poor old folks in front of her..
