That's a good question.what DO you ask insurance companies? Usually, insurance companies handle Life, Health, etc. I haven't come across TOO many that handle Denatl Insurance..not for 'individuals', anyways...mostly companies will have a 'Group Denatl Package'..something like that.

There are two questions that the agent should ask himself and the client should ask the agent before any contract is sold/bought.
#1) Would you sell this product to your Mother?
#2) Would you want to be a beneficiary on this product?

Those questions are so on point Gary!
Other questions you shold ask:
1. How long have you been an agent?
If the answer is over 5 years you should be able to trust this agent. If the agent has been in business this long then he/she has probably been able to build a reputable business. Anything under that and you will need to dig deeper. The problem that exists out there is that 70% of all agents have been in the business less than one year. These folks are most usually honest with you but remember that they may be depending on the advance comission on your policy to pay their bills...
2. What are the policy limits?
There are a lot of limited benefit policies out there that agents will emphasize either a low premium or low deductible without emphasizing the limitations. These are really affordable but if something major happens you might get stuck.
3. Do you sell policies from other companies?
If they represent only one company it does not mean that it is a bad policy, most have several policies available, just make sure it is the right policy for you.
Finally pay careful attention on how they answer your questions. If they dont answer your questions directly or try to change the subject then they night be trying to hide the facts from you.
