Well the eagle's been flying slow and the flag's been flying low
And a lot of people are saying that America's fixing to fall
But speaking just for me and some people from Tennessee
We got a thing or two to tell you all
This lady may have stumbled but she ain't never fell
And if the Russians don't believe that they can all go straight to hell
We're gonna put her feet back on the path of righteousness
And then God bless America again
And you never did think that it ever would happen again
In America, did you?
You never did think that we'd ever get together again
Well we damn sure fooled you
We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again in America
You never did think that it ever would happen again
From the sound up in Long Island out to San Francisco Bay
And ev'ry thing that's in between them is our home
And we may have done a little bit of fighting amongst ourselves
But you outside people best leave us alone
Cause we'll all stick together and you can take that to the bank
That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels and the yanks
You just go and lay your head on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan
And I think you're gonna finally understand
And you never did think that it ever would happen again
In America, did you?
You never did think that we'd ever get together again
Well we damn sure fooled you
We're walking real proud and we're talking real loud again in America
You never did think that it ever would happen again.
Best regards,

Woken up? We've been awake... it's just that we refuse to hold anyone responsible for their actions these days. I can't blame AIG for this one... I can only blame the government.
Granted, I also don't see the harm nor why the government is questioning AIG's actions... other then to try to shift the blame over to AIG. The government owns part of AIG. Stockholders usually don't get to say how a company is run (at least not when they own a minority share, which I think is the case here).
If AIG wants to piss away millions on managers who could not manager their way out of a wet paper bag, so be it. But don't act like it's not done every day.

True tcope.
The Gubment now "owns" 80% of AIG.
AIG is now a slave to the government of The United States of America.
That's what happens when you're in debt up to your eyeballs and need to go crying to your mommy for help.
When "Mother Dearest" is the government of The United States of America, then Nancy Pelosi is right there to change your dirty diapers.
Poor AIG, Credit Default Swap....THIS!
As I just made an inappropriate "appropriate" jester at my computer monitor. Thank goodness for Internet IP address anonymity, no one will EVER know.
Dear AIG,
Please sell American General to a real life insurance company who will restore The Old Line Life Insurance Company back to its former position of greatness.
Also, please make sure on your way down you expose and explain that the $180,000,000,000.00 ($180 billion dollars) you got in fiat money was created by "Administrative Decree" when the United States Treasury wrote you a phony check the can't bounce but calls THAT a "LOAN" for their bookkeeping purposes.
Yes, indeed the fraud merchants are now out in full political rhetoric ready to tax these "bonuses" at 100% on money the Gubment created by fiat on company contractors that the Gubment OWNSan 80% position.
Hmmmmmmmm, what's that Timmy G.???,..... bend over I'll drive!
P.S. The American taxpayers didn't give any money to AIG, Timmy G. simply wrote a worthless check that can't bounce and called THAT a "LOAN."

Where do I get one of them there insurance bonuses. You'd think for a 3.5 Trillion budget I could get a little something. I guess I’ll just have to settle for my $13.00 stimulus…. is that per paycheck or monthly? Just trying to set my McDonald’s allowance schedule.
I yearn for the day of illicit activities in the oval office.

I think the sleeping GIANT known as the citizens of The United States of America have suddenly and without warning woke up.
Only God can save the miserable souls of anyone who continues to defile the citizens of:
The United States of America.
