Whenever we go on long vacations we're always scared as to whether our travel insurance will be there till our vacation lasts. Now, we're hearing about this top-up travel policies. Are they really good? what are the criteria to be eligible for such coverge?

Yes, it's good to have some form of medical coverage for emergency situations. It will act as an extension of the coverage that you may already have.

Yes, it would be wise to have supplemental coverage for emergency medical care. Your provincial plan may offer limited coverage whenever you go out of your country. It will be quite expensive if you need to bear such costs out-of -pocket.

I think we'd first need to check if our existing policy has any provision for such top-up coverage. If it has then we shop for it very much the same that we did for our basic coverage. We need to make sure that it offers all that our original policy misses and that it suits our pocket too!

When it comes to shopping for top-up coverage..I feel it's best to go online..that way we'd not only save our time but may also go through a lot of options..

Hi all,
Yes it is better to search online for any insurance. But before buying any insurance we must be aware of the whole insurance policy. We must go through each points in the policy.
