The vehicle was involved in a collision with a taxi and received a fair amount of damages. I was shaken up and received whip lash and severe pains all over my body especially my neck and back. How much compensation am I entitled to and what is the length of time for it to be paid?

Compensation depends on the area of the accident, the extend of the injury, the medical treatment needed, your age, etc. All of these, and others, are factors into a settlement. The length of time for it to be paid is when the adjuster had all of the information needed in order to make a reasonable offer. The limitation on this is the Statute of Limitations in your state. Before that is up, you'd need to file suit in order t protect your right to recover. This could be anywhere from 2-6 years.

TSCOPE...............it could really take THAT long to get some kind of settlement?! My goodness!! I guess if Insurance Companies are stubborn they could really 'milk' the system, if they wanted to.

(Thinking outloud..) I would think it would take alot less than 2-6 years to receive all of the information they need.
