Recent Allstate Commercial

There is currently an AllState Commercial running in my area that takes place in a courtroom with a young man (maybe 17) being sued by another for an accident he caused. The ending states that the young man owes $100K. The other lawyer says they are going to start the process immediately to recoup the amoung and the boys lawyer says he doesn't have enough insurance. The other lawyer says they will get it from savings, college fund or any other assets. The boys parents ask if they can do that and the boys lawyer says they can.

I don't sell AllState but I love this commercial because it shows the ramifications of not carrying enough coverage. I actually think it is kind of surprising coming from AllState (no offense to those agents out there that carry AllState) but the agents in my area that we sell against have no problem pushing state minimum to get business instead of taking the customers best interest into consideration. My main point is that this is a great commercial and we should see more of them around.

Have you seen anything or done anything with this same thought in mind?

As far as ratings go...you can look up many different reports to fit what you need. The company I represent received the award from JD Power for Customer Satisfaction and rate highest in AM Best but then I can go into other reports that contradict those claims. It is all about how you take care of your customers that matter. If something negative comes out about the carrier you represent then you do everything in you power to put a positive spin on it in your area.

LifeIsGood,
For all it's worth, I'm proud of you. That is a great attitude and I honestly believe you. You, my friend, are certainly among the 59% of all agents who are good, loyal, honest, trustworthy, etc., etc. The other 40% are the ones who give me job security. Great Response!!

Thanks Ins...believe me, I know some of the 40% (yes, with Allstate) and as I see their names on lists of "atta-boys" I just keep repeating one thing.

Karma.

I know they will get their's one day.

(not that I wish any ill-will on anyone but...I know I'm ethical so I don't have to get paranoid the next time the phone rings and I see that is it the home office)

It's all about the individual and how they handle their job and the people they deal with and assist...

The company I work for has a generally horrible reputation in many markets where body shops are concerned...but you would have a hard time trying to find a shop in a 100 mile sweep of me to say a harsh word about me or the way I handle their repairs (ergo the company I work for)...In my area all shops may hate state farm, or allstate but go 50 miles and they are in love or visa versa....I'm sure your clients would have nothing but glowing recommendations for you LIG, you're ''that'' kind of agent...just like adjusters or any other job/profession, the bad ones get all the press....that casts a big shadow on those of us that work hard and with integrity...also I seriously doubt that the head honcho with allstate rang you up and said, 'hey LIG, what do YOU think should we pull out of flordia? Cause we're leaving this decision solely up to you".... not hardly but you (and all allstate agents/and employees) have to deal with the crap...reminds me of jerks that yell at the poor cashier at a gas station making about 6.50 an hour because gas is too high...

Fortunately, our two preferred body shops here love me...lol. Of course, the $5.00 Little Caesar's pizzas I take to them once a month helps...lol.

You know this and I know this; It's all about how you and I handle our customers and vendors. That is what makes the difference.

It's just when ''we'' or people like us that are slimed or attacked for something we didn't do, didn't have anything to do with, nor would ever do, that pisses me off...when you are painted with this giant paint brush that you had no control over...it's the only bigotry that is still tolerated....(ie every one that works at allstate is a snake, all adjusters are crooks, all attorneys are scum you get the picture)...It's not any different than someone saying everyone with green eyes (mine are) is an idiot...would all the ''pc'' individual tolerate that? no way........

Very true. But what can you do? People are going to do that. It's in their nature. It's easier to follow than to lead. It's easier to echo a popular opinion than to stand up and speak your own mind.

Want to know something that's really fun?? Walking into one of thier offices with a search warrant and ordering them to pick up their personal belongings and leave. Many times I've qualified as an Expert in finding the bad business and holding the bad agents accountable.

I not only carry a weapon on these "raids" but am usually accompanied by either law enforcement or DOI investigators. I've got some great video of a couple of these. Someday I'll put them on UTUBE.

There was on agent who was "asked to leave the company" - Corporate security walked in one and said, "Goodbye. Pack your personal belongings now. We will watch you."

Karma.

It's even better when they do that to an agents who's making around $400K in FYC. Hahaha, time to flip burgers you lying bastar.....
