actually A good Final Expense Insurance program is a lot more then just life insurance coverage. My aunt in law recently passed & her kids picked out a coffin etc and discovered that she had a final expense program after but before paying the funeral parlor any money. The Final Expense company actually had the cost of the coffin reduced by roughly $3000. plus it obviously paid all of the expenses money went directly to the children.

Working in the Funeral Home business, I find that Settlers Life Insurance Company pays their claims very quickly, and is highly recommended for Final Expense leads.

Has anyone ever ran the numbers such as amount of premium paid into policy against the face value and at what year the premiums equal or exceed the face amount.. That's my only peeve about final expense..

Final Expense is just the latest hot new product everyone wants to get into.. It's baby boomer driven.

I'm 69. Retired and have no children. I was thinking of getting a final expense insurance. Whom can I trust? The big names in the market like State Farm and Humana; or, the ones only specialized in final expense insurance program?

Final expense insurance is a very high priced insurance. The people who buy it normally aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. I suppose the product has it's place in the market but you would think if an agent would just explain to the prospect the difference between a guaranteed U.L. and a final expense plan, the prospect would choose the guaranteed U.L. Problem is, many people wouldn't want to take the para-med exam.
