Suspend car insurance - Can it be reinstated later on?

In case I'll go work aboard for half a year or a year, am I allowed to suspend car insurance and reinstate it when I am back? Thanks.

I just bought a 91 honda hatch back I live in va the car has inspection on it but they wont me to do emissions lol. But I heard from a friend that if I say the car is garaged some wher wher they don't do emissions will I have to get a different insurance policy of wher the car is being garaged. Or will evey thang be good

The 91 Honda you purchased is going to be registered in your name at your address in VA? If so, and where you reside in VA requires an emissions test.
Are you going to keep the car elsewhere?

I was going to cancel my 2nd car because it's down for repairs, and my agent talked me out of it. I would lose my multi-car discount ($45/6mos). I suspended...
