How much stock do you put in these kinds of 'top' lists? It seems like they all have different criteria, some are based on thousand or tens of thousands of responses and others are based on fifty (or all made up in one person's mind)?

There are seven companies on this listing that my agency works with- two above the median and five below the median....but three of the five are within 10 points of the median score of 777....I should stop looking at these things and trying to make senes of them....

Total lost car - Settlement charges in the offer letter
by Guest »
Guest

Hello!

A few days ago, my car was declared total lost. I filed the claims with the other insurance. They sent me a settlement offer saying the car is declared total loss. What king of charges should be included in the offer. They included the trade-in price for my car. Are there any other charges which should be included in the offer? Is it mandatory to be included title registration fee of the new car I would buy?

Thanks for help!

IRS Audits Focus on Captive Insurance Plans
April 2011 Edition

By Lance Wallach

The IRS started auditing § 419 plans in the 1990s, and then continued going after § 412(i) and other plans that they considered abusive, listed, or reportable transactions, or substantially similar to such transactions. If an IRS audit disallows the § 419 plan or the § 412(i) plan, not only does the taxpayer lose the deduction and pay interest and penalties, but then the IRS comes back under IRC 6707A and imposes large fines for not properly filing.
