Since this is off topic and obviously just spam, let me mention the 1 time in 15 years that I've ever spoken with a public adjuster. It was an auto accident and the public adjuster told me he had a witness that would state my insured was speeding. He explained that this witness was inside her house. I asked if she saw the vehicles. No. I asked, if she did not see them how did he know my insured was speeding. The public adjuster proceeded to tell me that she could tell it was speeding by the sound.

Let me repeat that... he told me she could tell it was speeding by the sound.

Sorry, public adjusters are a joke. They are people who have absolutely no power over a claim (legal or otherwise) and do next to nothing for the person who is paying them. Lastly, they only collect when their customer does. When, since a property damage claim has a set value, they are really just taking money out of the person's pocket.

I think you are mixing public adjuster and some other term together. What you just stated has nothing to do with a public adjusters job description - TRY AGAIN

Everyone one of my claims as a PA had received more then 500% more than the insurance companies innitially offered, so how are we taking money from people???? There isn't a set value! If there was I would have a job and all of my clients wouldn't be getting screwed by the insurance company - Unless the set privee your speaking of is always that same LOW BALL number.

Any documentation or proof that your client's were paid 500% more, every time, since you were handling the claim as a PA? It's nice to claim things and never offer any proof. BTW - I'm the King of England.

I'm pretty sure I know what a PA is and the information I mentioned is correct. Your website states the following, "Attorneys and Public Adjusters are the only parties allowed by law to represent and pursue another party's interest in an insurance claim". This is just not true. Fact is, anyone with a properly executed Power of Attorney can do this.

I'll ask a simple question... what happens when the adjuster refuses to pay more then they owe on a claim... what do you do then? Your only recourse is to contact the D.F.S. Well, the insured could have done that... but for free.

Again, truth is you have little to no power to enforce any action from an insurance company, you don't get 500% higher payments in the long wrong (you keep stating "initial offer" which shows me your just hiding the facts), and you remove settlement money from your customers.

(You also need to look up the meaning of "mandated", as PA's are not "mandated" by law.. you mean "allowed")

Your Florida licenses have been active 1 1/2 years and 1 year. How effective could you be?

I'll give one thing to PA's, on large property losses they can be helpful in ascertaining the extent of the loss. That is, inventorying the entire loss so that the insurance company can better understand the extent. However, the OP's post (and website) reads like a plaintiff attorneys commercial.

BRAVO TCOPE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No proof, No guts and No integrity.........

Thank you my friend for your most eloquent (and truthful) post !!!!!!

Twice in 21 years I have had the 'pleasure' of dealing with a P.A., they (the insured or claimant) got absolutely NOT ONE CENT MORE THAN MY ORIGINAL OFFER. Which as Tcope mentioned was a 'set or tangible' amount (property damage). That firm was quickly ran out of the town I live in as no REAL adjuster would cave to their 'imaginary' authority. Unfortunately, however for their 'client' they ended up with (as I mentioned) the exact amount I offered, then had to pay the P.A.!!!!!!!!!!! An absolutely absurd claim these people are making. I'm sure the great state of Florida or Florida's Dept. of Insurance would like to know that all claims EXCEPT for the ones these jokers work are being settled for 500% less than the insured or claimant are due !!!!!!!

Tell you what next time I have a personal claim, I'm going to contact them, and see if they can't get me $5,000.00 on my $1,000.00 worth of damaged property. And if they can, how on earth is that accomplished without commiting fraud? If it is 1k in damage or loss, then it's 1k how do you get 5k?

I am also a public adjuster in Florida, we reopen claims every day and fight for a fair settlement for our clients which many times is more than 300% greater than originaly offered. There are some good adjusters that write a fair estimate but even those we at least cover our fee. When I was a IA I was always aloud to write higher estimates when dealing with a PA just to get the claim settled without it going to appraisel. I dont Know where Lori and TCOPE are from but in florida PA's are needed, if we were not making our clients happy we wouldn't be in business.

Odd that all these guests, same as the OP, are from Florida. I think with the quotes of 200% and 300%, we know exactly why this is.

I've been working for insurance carriers for 15 years and adjusting claims for 10 years.... in Florida.

Not to sound like we are ganging up but I think Lori's post really puts it into perspective.

When I have my claim I want to hire ''PROOF'' he can get me 500%

Everyone one of my claims as a PA had received more then 500% more than the insurance companies innitially offered

Where as his buddy, ICC can only get me 300% and not every time,

which many times is more than 300% greater than originaly offered.

Now, Proof, doesn't that mean that your partner Icc is (in your ever so profession diction), Is now also 'screwing' your clients by 200%? Are they not now

be getting screwed

by ICC?

Perhaps you could teach him a thing or two........along with all you have taught us, ''IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS"

I do think the Insured should rely on the Company's adjuster. Mostly they are at the same side.
