Hey everyone,

Just wanted to throw out a company that I recently decided to buy into. I own my own construction company and I had been having somewhat of a hard time with insurance companies in the past. However, I'm now using a company called EllisDon (they're a canadian construction company). They've been helping me, and they also have other services such as surety default. Not sure how many of you will find a need for this stuff, but here's the site if you want to see it:

adjuster will not return my calls

My wife was recently hit from behind as she waited in traffic at a stop light. Her SUV is a total loss. I called the insurance company within the hour and they gave me a claim no. and said I would be contacted within 24 hrs. if not call back. Well, we have called back, left messages, asked for supervisor's and we get the same run around. The two times my wife did talk to the adjuster she hung up on her rudely. I work 40 miles from home and my wife needs a car to get to work and treatments for her injuries. What can we do?
It is Hallmark Insurance out of Plano, Tx.

Hey, I gotta know something regarding business insurance.
How do the carriers determine rates for property and casualty coverages?
Is it worth covering for the business risks? If so, what risks do we need to cover for and what risks we needn't? BarbieL

I live in Louisiana this is also where my LLC is registered.

I have a consulting offer with a large company but before I become an authorized vendor I need Insurance. The company is a turbine manufacture and sells them to power plants. My role would be to manage the companies technical advisors.

This is what I would need:

Comprehensive General Liability
Comprehensive General Liability covering Contractor's liability for injury to or death of persons or damage to property including but not limited to the Work under this Agreement.

I have a small plastic manufacturing business. I had been using the same broker for 20 years. No claims, although one potential which turned out to be nothing related to my manufacturing. My original broker retired and new guy came with 50% higher premium. I decided to see if I could do better. I called two brokers. I answered all their questions. They said I had been vastly under insured: I had valued my manufacturing equipment at the current used value ie what I pay to replace a 10 year old piece of equipment with another 10 year old piece of equipment.

I am going to opt for my new E-commerce High Risk Merchant Account. Can I get anyone who will tell more about how insurance sector will deal if I am in need for this type of insurance for those online transactions going to be taken place with couriers and the payments by online credit card acceptance?
Do I need to insure for both transactions differently? Or I have any offrers from those credit card offering banks? Can anyone help?

Hi!

Someone please tell me whether the Keyman policy proceeds are taxable or not!

Are the premiums paid towards such policies (by employer) deductible?
