I want to know if buying cancer policy is a good idea or not. I've recently come to know about an aflac cancer policy from my workplace but before buying one I'd like to hear it from people who have used it or have any kind of experience with Aflac.

Thanking in advance.

Does anyone know if Aflac Critical illness policy covers any part of having to have your thyroid totally removed.... not known if it is cancer yet ....

If the diagnosis is cancer, yes. If the answer is some other thyroid condition, perhaps . . . or not. You have to read the policy.

Typically Skin Cancer is not covered in the aflac policy it is for internal cancer only. There are a lot of exlusions read your policy (its all in there) melanoma is the only skin cancer covered and it has to involve underllying tissue to receive the $2,000 Carcinoma In Situ payment.

You have to read your contract to know what is or is not covered. Have you done that yet?

I don't remember if I canceled my policy or not. Can you give me feedback?

i had the plan, and got the addtnl 1st accurance rider. i get cancer and am glad i had it. it is a supplimental insurance which means it is in addition to your regular insurance. so far in the past 3 months they have paid over $9,000 to me personally. and they still have a couple thousand left to pay. this $ helped to fly my mom out to drive me to my daily treatments and help me around the house. i predict that after i pay all medical bills and expenses, i will have $8,500 left over. not bad for $25/month insurance

Can you get a cancer policy if you were just diagnosed with colon cancer?[/b]

if you were just diagnosed

The general rule concerning applying for insurance . . . if you wait until you need it to apply for it, you've waited at least one day too long.

The answer is NO, unless you lie on the application, and for that you may be prosecuted.

I would highly recommend it! I have seen the cancer plan pay and pay again. It has saved a friend of mine from financial disaster and has helped people I know with travel and lodging costs. It is an amazing product and it worth it. There isn't another plan like it!
