My Dad killed my mom, even though she was sick in the hospital, we are very sure that he sufficated her. He is a tax avaider and can not retire. He had about 1 million of insurance on her, 3 different policies. He knew that every day she was in the hospital, it took away from the life insurance, his only source of retirement, so he ended her life. He slipped up to my sister and said that your Mom did not sufficate, he tried to give her breaths of his own air, but never called a nurse or doctor in the room to help. He also refused an autopsy, he would not let her body go anywhere except to the funeral home. Also, he refused to take a polygraph test that we set up, an attorney called my sister the day of the test and told her that he was going to sue us for everything we got. We had so much proof, but not enough to have convicted, I don't think any of the investigators believed us. I have kinda of gave up, but it still will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

Hurt, I don't know how long ago this was or if you contacted the procescuting attorney in your town, if not you should...has the ins company paid out? Is this your nature father or a step dad? What was mom's reason for being in the hospital? What type of investigation was done? I'm so very very sorry about this...please provide details and we will try and give you some suggestions to follow...

I don't quite understand what you mean by this. How could her being in the hospital lower the amount of life insurance?

An agreement with the hospital that the bill would be paid out of the proceeds from the insurance?

First let me say I am very sorry to hear this. I hope you can in some way find peace. My heart goes out to you.

I didn't know that an arrangement like this one could even be made with a hospitol. I just learned something new.

She was in the hospital with a brain tumer. My father insisted for my mother not to get any radiation or any other type of treatment. The doctor said that she would live for a year or two years. The day before she died, she was supose to go home because she was doing fine in the hospital. We think she was killed at 4:05 am. When the doctor found out that she had died, he was very surrprised and could not understand. The only thing in the nurses notes were that for a 6 hour gap, is states that the husband was by bed side. He would not let any one next to her body and he was seen cleaning her face and hands after the fact. Yes, he was my biological father. The day of ther funeral he asked me if I would like to go salt water fishing, hmmmm, that does not seem like a man that is hurting, but a man that was relieved. Also, my sister and I were going to get my mother to sign a power of attorney for her health care only, but when my fater found out that she was going to sign it, he blew up and told us no way in hell and that we were just after the money......Very sick....He also refused to sign any medical papers at the hospital, because he did not want to be held responcible for any of the medical cost. Everything was about the money. My mother needed to have some staples to be pulled out of her head, he did not want to take her to the doctors to let them do it, he said that he could pull them out with plyers, the same way that the doctor would do it, again another bill he did not want to get. He had all of this life insurance policies and never was late on them, but could not buy her medical insurance. My sister and I tried to get an investigator to look futher into the case and tried to get the body resumed to get an autopsy to prove that she died of suffication and not by the brain tumer, but he said we needed more evidence. I know if there was a way for someone that could look more into the case and new what to look for that they would find the information needed to make an arrest. My sister and my whole family now that he is guilty for what he has done.

My father was told that a hospital can lien life insurance policies in order to guarantee payment scense there was NO medical insurance. Remember, this is the reason for him to keep her out of the hospital as much as possible. When she found out that she had a brain tumer, the doctors told her to get statred on the treatment very soon. My father said he was going to reserch to find the very best hospital for the treatment. That went on for 5 weeks and nothing was done. It was just anther reason to buy time.

If your father has policies on the life of your mom, your father is the policyholder and he will get all the policy monies if the insurance company appproves the claims.

If it is proven that your father murdered your mother, this will render the policies null and void. In other words, these policies are as good as not in existence in the first place. This is because insurance purchase cannot violate public interest or laws. In this case, it is about murder.

If a person takes up an insurance policy on someone's life and subsequently murders the insured with the intention of getting the policy proceeds, insurance company has every right to repudiate the claim or deny any contractual obligation as if the policyholder has never applied for insurance before.

To ensure your father, who murdered your mother, will not get the monies, you may inform the insurance companies involved. They have all the resources you need to make sure justice is served.

Oh honey what a mess...ok, what state (or country) did this happen in? Have you contacted the insurance company and told them your concerns? How long ago did your mother pass? Did your father have the same amount or more insurance on himself? Who have you contacted to ask for help?
