My mother is 84 years old and in pretty good shape for her age. We have no insurance to help with home going services though, when she leaves us. We just want to be able to provide a decent resting place for her without hassle; but she won't make the arrangements..

Hi,
i searched very hard on Google & other search engines. But i can't find any link about any insurance company who offer to give insurance policy for 84 year old person.
Genworth, Transamerica, West Coast Life, Lincoln Benefit Life, MetLife Investors, American General, CM Life, Aviva.

Yes, Final Expense doesn't make you go through a medical exam but does ask questions that you have to qualify for
Oh I see Smile I have limited knowledge on FE. TRK3031962 I am curious as to how do you qualify for FE? I mean when the OP says

does it mean that they can pay for the funeral and get reimbursed from FE? Or do they designate a funeral home to take care of the final rituals and then the money goes to the funeral home as reimbursement?
At 84 if you are in a good health condition, would you qualify for FE?
Sil...
Yes, in good health you would qualify for an FE. Even in just decent health you would probably qualify for an FE.
The funeral home could be made the beneficiary (unless that's not approved by your state) or the beneficiary could just pay for the funeral when the proceeds come in. Most funeral homes will work with the insurance company for you in order to file the claim and all. Most are very proficient at doing that.

A good news! But, what is criteria for good health at 84?? There are inherent problems(e.g ear and eye deterioration etc.) with age and can it be of help when they ask for good health?

ear and eye deterioration is hardly ever asked on a FE application.

Hi,
But, what is criteria for good health at 84??
I guess it's more about not undergoing any heart surgery or cancerous treatment. What else could you think of now?
