All licenses in the insurance industry are issued under the authority of the state, however, the federal Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (18 USC 1033, 1034) specifies that persons who have committed certain felonies are prohibited from being involved without a consent waiver from the state regulator. If your felony specifically involved a money or property crime, among others, you will need the waiver. There is no statute of limitations on when the crime/conviction occurred.

Can someone who was convicted of sexual assault and has served their time and it has been 16 years since the conviction was given be able to get an aduster's license in Texas.

Some states will hold an offense such as that against you forever. You won't know until you apply and disclose the conviction.

I have several felony. One being sexual assault back in 1985, I received a 5 year sentence. I have not committed a crime in 22 years. In 1999 I started working independently for a well know major adjusting firm. I earned a good work record with them, and they want me to come back to for them. The man who I was working under knew that I was an ex felon. Could (I with) the company backing me up be licensed in Florida?

I was convicted of felony theft by taking 15 years ago. I haven't had so much as a parking ticket since. Would this prevent me from getting my license in GA?

It could. Theft is one of the kinds of prohibited felonies under 18 USC 1033 that requires a consent waiver from the insurance commissioner/superintendent/director in your state.

I have a misdemeanor which happened a little more then more then 10 years ago 'falsification of identification to an official" (I gave a police officer a fake name) I was convicted and served 1 year of non reporting probation. Can this prevent me from obtaining a PA Public Adjusters License?

Possibly, but in all likelihood, no. Regardless, it must be disclosed in your license application.

Thanks you. Now the pa license application does not mention anything regarding misdemeanor only felonies do I still include it

I don't think you read the question carefully. This is what the current application states:1. Have you ever been convicted of or pled nolo contendere (no contest) to any misdemeanor or felony or currently have pending misdemeanor or felony charges filed against you? (If yes, provide certified court records as to the type of charge (i.e. felony), basis of charge and outcome or sentence.)
If you were referring to court records only mentioning felony, it says "i.e." which means "such as", and definitely includes court records concerning misdemeanors.
