Many people may argue that the future is out of our control, that might be true but we also have the ability to put in a small effort into the safety of our future, equipping your self for something that might or might not happen is no crime, is it? So if this description rings a bell then its best if you get that long term care.

If you have already decided on long term care then here are some things that the insurance may help with. Long term care insurance has nothing to do with "common things that people suffer from". It has to do with the inability to perform two or more Activities of Daily Living as the result of a chronic disability. Separately, a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive impairment is a triggering event by itself.

People with arthritis, cancer, or heart disease do not necessarily qualify for LTCI benefits simply because of their disorder. They must also have an inability to perform two or more of the following: Eating, Dressing, Bathing, Toileting, Continence, Transferring (or need "stand by assistance" to prevent an injury). Needing to be driven to the grocery store is not covered by LTCI.

If you're going to promote a genuinely needed product such as LTCI, the least you can do is post accurate information. That's one of the reasons that CA licensed insurance producers must take continuing education courses in LTCI -- so they know what they're talking about when they market the product.
