What is the NADA price?

nada.com

Anyone can _ask_ whatever they want for a vehicle. The _selling_ price is something different.

Obtain a copy of the carrier evaluation and make sure all the information on your car is correct. I cannot tell you the numbers of times I've seen this information be incorrect.

In a situation like this, wouldn't the 'Blue Book' value be the 'totaled' value?

Yes... but in this case the insurance company was basically using ads for vehicles being sold (CarTrader, AutoTrader, etc). That is, they were not using a database of _sold_ prices... they were using "asking" prices. How many cars have you bought and paid the asking price.

where did you find your vehicle worth that?

I come up with clean retail at 6875.00 (then you'll need to add or subtract the following to that figure)...power sunroof +425.00, w/out a.c. -$550.00, aluminum/alloy wheels +200.00.....

Was there some prior 'unrepaired' damage to your vehicle?
