Does the workmen's compensation offer a daily coverage? If not what is this compensation all about!

The Workmen's Compensation Act defines a workman as any employee earning less than Kshs.4,000/- per month and only these qualify for compensation under the Act.
However, the employer is directed to support his employees' in the event of an injury or death during the course of his job. As per the WC Law all employers (both public or pvt.) are directed to maintain the WC coverage for the wellbeing of the employees. Cassieblue

Right! This is irrespective of whether he is the principal or say the contractor employing the workmen. The legal liabilities of the beneficiary would be protected by this Act. Not only the fatal injuries sustained by his fellow employees, rather some of the other expenses in connection with the hospital & transportation of the injured are also included if the party pays an extra bit of premium!
If you are starting up your own business, then keep these things in mind before you reach out for new employees.

The compensation is fairly based on the provisions of the above mentioned law. The yearly wages drawn by a worker during the course of the insurance would be the factor to decide the compensation amount. So, once this statement of wages is generated & submitted, then the compensation would be adjusted. Yes, the medical expenses might also be covered if mentioned.
Hope things are a bit clearer now!

It would help if you let us know what state you reside in...Worker's Comp is heavily state dependent, and the rules for your jurisdiction could easily vary from other states.
Can you explain the situation in more detail so that we may give you some specifics?
