Online insurance leads generation and sales training

How important is it to generate online insurance leads for a successful sales campaign? Now-a-days the agencies wouldn't even go for a proper online insurance sales training. Please share your feedback!

I've come across people who've called 500 prospects a day and achieved around 20 world class sales with some of our so-called tough tele-sales campaigns. I guess that's quite an achievement!



20 sales in a day, calling 500 prospects a day is really an achievement. I tried it myself, and even reaching 100 was a tough target, getting past the secreataries and all that....

The above wonderful telemarketing skills if can be coupled with internet (which can get you warm leads) can bring even better results.

No doubt about the above method. All marketing pro needs to have the required skills for the above procedure, especially for cold calling.

No, this friend of mine didn't achieve 20 sales out of a B2B campaign. It was perhaps a consumer database and he had to sell a family benefit program (as far I remember). Still, I guess that was a great achievement for a fresher!

Yes, there are people who'd not rely too much on the online- quotes. At the same, the percentage of people who're switching on to online shopping has increased over the last couple of years. People are now more comfortable to submit their financial information online and achieve multiple quotes in return. This enables them to compare quite a lot of quote-options without wasting any time.

This could be one of the few reasons why businesses don't invest too much on online lead generation. Some times they'd recruit people who're good insurance consultants but they may not be as much successful at marketing products. At the same time, there are some agencies who've really earned good prospects through their affiliate partners and other effective sales strategies.

It's not always that these agencies put too much stress on cold calling. They'd rather handle inbound product-related inquiries with such effectiveness as to create a need for such products.

That's right, and that is why big corporates are concentrating so much on on online advertising and deliveries. Dell, for examples in India till recently was working without any real office (everything was being donme online, with client having the option to csutomize his machine and place order for the same).

In insurance, thenature of product we deal with on occassions may require a face to face meeting to discuss finer points, however, as far as lead generation is concerned, it really offers great advantages over offline marketing efforts.

The difference in the shopping experience has a different story to tell. It's true that buying and selling leads online is quite new, but the time-saving element along with a broader network has certainly changed the entire scenario. The new trend has certainly affected both the consumers and the agents, and we can rest assured of it's positive impact in the future.

If you're about to design a website for your agency, don't forget to highlight key advantages of working with you. Also don't forget to mention the name and address of your office. Your website needs to get listed in places where people may have an easy access to it.

This is very important. In this connections Google, Yahoo and Bing listings (enhanced listings) can really help you. In addition to these there some few dozen good directories and review portals, those may help you in getting good ranks in local search engines, and therefore more exposure to your business.

In case you need more assistance on above, you may kindly look for "Country Specific Business Listing Service" on google, which will lead you to my Ecademy profile. I believe online knowledge will be necessary in all areas of insurance, probably a trend in the P&C market too, as well as social media.
