And do you have a question?

Posted: Fri Apr 22, 2011 01:23 am Post Subject: sorry my ? is:

My insurance declared the car a loss, but they don't sound confident that they would be able to recover 100% from the other ins. co. for what they will pay me for the car. In order words I may not get back 100% of my deductible.

Would it be better to go directly to other ins. co. for the property damage to my car?

What are the pros and cons on this?

P.s. I'm in Minnesota, no-fault state.

If you are in a no-fault state, your claim is handled through your insurance company as it currently is. If you do not recover any deductible, or have any other damages not covered by your insurance, you sue the AT-FAULT party for their negligence that caused your damages. If you win, then their insurance pays.

I guess it's better you go with your insurance company. If you're not at-fault, then you have a chance to win it in your favor. In that case their insurance co. is bound to pay for your losses.

Really?

Maybe you failed to see that the OP resides in a NO FAULT state.

Like many of your other posts, Jeorge, this is providing misinformation to our forum visitors, which is unfortunate, and not to their advantage.

Discuss your problem with your insurance company. Hope things works out the way you want it to be. Goodluck.
