You may use the Medical Information Bureau's "Lost Policy Locator" service to try to locate an insurance company that may have issued a policy to your mother. There is a fee of about $75. Use this link:

Did you get in touch with your mom's financial adviser or attorney? You may also contact the county court to find out about her estate and will. That might help you. Wish you luck :)

Surely. You would be knowing all the people or mostly of them or even must have the idea that who may be the people or insurance company by which your Mom's insurance was done. However its just like a lost and found case, because there are too many insurance companies all around.
