I'd like to work as an Independent Agent. Where should I start ? Is adjuster Trainee or Sales Position OK as a start up ??
Please advise... Thanks,

Is adjuster Trainee . . . .

Your P&C license is meaningless for this. Adjusters and Agents are not the same thing. You should have learned that in your prelicensing education course.

P&C is virtually impossible for a newbie to break into as an independent agent. Insurance companies want to see your book of business to evaluate how much you are possibly going to bring to their table.

You have a couple of choices. You could find a local P&C shop willing to train you in sales. Or you could look to one of the mainstream companies and become a captive agent. State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, and others all have "entrepreneurial" paths to agency ownership that you might be qualified to enter. Nothing wrong with that path. You just won't be an independent agent.
