This must happen quite a bit. If you have a preexisting condition but no lapse in coverage, could she switch very easily to another medical insurer? And of course, how do we find out the process for using her Texas insurance in Washington, if that's even possible. She is at a very critical stage and steps need to be taken right away. Thanks for helping,

If you've been covered continuously, then you need not worry about your pre-existing condition. But, before you shift to another carrier make sure you add real benefits that you don't have with your current provider.

She shouldn't have a problem since she has had continuous coverage. The big question is Texas insurance in Washington. I assume that she is in a network. Are there network providers where she will live. Does she have out of network coverage if there are no providers. You'll need to read the policy and call the company to find out specifics on coverage.
