I've some problems with my vision since last year. I'm thinking of applying for Vision insurance. Will it cover things like lasik eye surgery?

I believe such surgeries are expensive. Again, the cost of these surgeries may vary upon the condition of your eyes, as well as the place where you're currently residing in. I don't think the carriers will usually pay you for such procedures.

Yes, carriers won't pay you if they'd consider such surgeries to be "elective". Check out if your employer has any special provision to get you treated under a lasik center.

I don't think such procedures are covered in the US. One may opt for a flexi-spending account for such expenses.
