Not only do you have to have confidence in yourself, but you have to have confidence in what you are selling. To many agents do not put enough time into learning the different products they offer. When a prospect asks a question it does not look very good when you have to say let me get back with you on that. You need to be able to answer any question right then and with confidence.

Thanks for the comment Horizon.

An email newsletter is a great tool to add to your arsenal. Inexpensive, easy, and best of all automated.

Email newsletter is a good way to increase your sales. But you to make sure that you don't spam. Otherwise It'll be of no use. Don't use any kind of automated software to send bulk mails. Most of the time mails send through these kind of software's land in the spam or junk mail folder.

Liveleads360 is right. First of all you should be confident about your product. Otherwise you'll not be able to convince your customer.

When you meet a new prospect, make sure to ask for their email address and it's ok to send them your monthly newsletter. Just make to keep it relevant.

I would like to say that email newsletter will be a good tool but as Horizon as said, NO SPAMMING. Sending useless mails will do no good to your business. Instead, it will be a negative to your reputation. The person receiving your spam mails will not ever think of doing business with you. Send him regular mails but keep in mind that mails sound professional and really have something useful.

All great points! You definitely should have permission to send emails to a person. As a newsletter publisher, I cannot tell you how many agents approach us wanting to use purchased or rented lists. That's a no no.

Also make sure you have an unsubscribe link prominently displayed so that a person can easily remove themselves from your list.

Ya & if you are serious about email newsletter be sure to keep updating the newsletter as well as update your email database. Try sending the newsletter at least once a week. You can get new email ids on various social networking websites like orkut, myspace, facebook, etc.

Once a week may be a bit much. Monthly is probably the best bet.

hmmmmm may be. But the main purpose of this newsletter is to create awareness about your product & increase the sales. So in the beginning you've to send the newsletter on regular intervals. Once people get the idea & they will reply your mail if they are really interested. That's why I said keep updating the newsletter.

Now might be the time to get into facebook marketing. You can target the newly graduated and employed age ranges offering some thing interesting... like an annoying but still fun online iQ test so you can collect email addresses for your business-- and then target them with plans.

This is actually an Idea I've been thinking about myself! -- minus the iQ strategy... I might just go with straight froward ads marketing my companies low cost printing services *cough *cough

... Our company uses constant contact to handle our online newsletter marketing. Sometimes when our writers are tied up we go to elance.com to outsource content... or just rewrite something we thought was interesting in a new way.

ALSO, there is the 'white paper strategy', one of our other sales websites , booklet printing pros . com , offers examples of catalogs and other booklet formats that we went around the internet collecting, and since these are PDF files and some large in size, we ask that if you want to look over these, say, 20 examples, then just enter your email and we will send you over the access password.

For a little effort we collect what might be the most valuable thing on the internet... a constant line to the customer.

of course we offer opt outs. we do not want to be grudged for our practice, and it's the right and polite thing to do.

So the strategy--- information for email-- is the 'white paper' strategy. Imagination plays a large roll there.

i really agree with all the views expressed here about the spamming, but need to ask you that it won't be possible for an individual to talk to hundreds of people on one to one basis, so we will be getting the email addresses of our prospectus.

How one will make it sure that he has taken permission from the person to 'send an e-mail to him/her?

Is it really possible to get to know different people (daily 10) and thus they will share e-mail addresses with us.If that is the case nobody needs lead selling companies.Whats your opinion on this?
