Vacant home insurance claim

We just recently sold our home in Redmond, WA that we had lived in for 22 years. For 6 months, we bought a vacant homeowner's policy as we had moved to the state of GA. Our home has a septic tank and the state of WA requires that all tanks be inspected, etc. before selling your home. Because of tree roots, our septic drainage pipes had to be replaced, the fence taken down and the landscaping removed for a cost of over $10,000. Do we have any recourse in regards to a home insurance claim?

]Water damage to my manufactured home
This article is in the wrong forum. It should be under homes and not auto?)

On December 23rd, 2014, I woke up at 4:30 am to a loud sound from the kitchen. I went to see what was going on, and water was spraying out from under my sink from a broken pipe.

I called my insurance man, and he had a company that they use for water damage come to my home, and hook up 4-5 machines to dry out my kitchen flooring.

The roof had a leak and some was sent to repair the roof within hours. However there was water damage to my ceiling. Who is responsible to pay for the ceiling. The insurer said a "leak" is not part of roof insurance. She called it a maintenance issue. Who pays--condo or me?

The tenants in the condo above mine left for the month of Dec and turned the heat off in the unit. A water pipe burst and flooded the master bedroom, bath and closet. The insurance company (State Farm) for the owner of that unit has agreed to cover the cost of abatement and repair but want a liability release signed that includes this statement:

"This release expressly reserves all rights of the parties released to pursue their legal remedies, if any, against the undersigned, their heirs, executors, agents and assigns."
